Good job on Portola Valley Town Center fundraising

Original post made by Renee Batti, associate editor of The Almanac, on Feb 14, 2007

The following letter by Bernard and Lorraine Bayuk was published in the Almanac's Feb. 14 print edition:

Editor:
As residents of Portola Valley we wish to thank volunteers Sally Ann Reiss, Jocelyn Swisher and Beth Rabuczewski for their efforts in managing the donation campaign for construction of the new Town Center. As they reported in last week's letters, 70 percent of the required funds have been secured.
This accomplishment is an indication of the time and energy that has been devoted to the campaign. It is also a visible indication of the generosity of Portola Valley residents and their recognition that the new Town Center will be an added positive attribute to Portola Valley.
We wish the Portola Valley Community Fund Committee success in reaching the $1.8 million goal by March 28.
Bernard and Lorraine Bayuk
Paloma Road, Portola Valley
