Valparaiso roadwork update

Original post made by Andrea Gemmet, Almanac staff writer, on Mar 12, 2007

The week of March 19 is the new target end-date for Atherton’s repaving project on Valparaiso Avenue, between El Camino Real and University Drive, said Public Works Director Duncan Jones.

The project, which has shut down the westbound lane of the heavily traveled road that borders Menlo Park, was set to end March 8, but rainy weather caused delays.

Workers will be pouring concrete this week, and finishing up the bike lane and striping the road next week, Mr. Jones told the Almanac on Monday, March 12.
