Old Woodside Store Day on Sunday

Original post made by Richard Hine, editor of The Almanac, on May 2, 2007

History buffs of all ages can time-travel back to the 1880s on Sunday, May 6, from noon to 4 p.m. at the annual Old Woodside Store Day, at 3300 Tripp Road in Woodside.
Participants can take wagon rides behind really big horses, cut shingles or try a two-man saw, make rag dolls and twine rope, and churn butter and ice cream. There will be pie-eating and seed-spitting contests. And refreshments.
For information, call the San Mateo County Historical Association at 299-0104; or go to historysmc.org and click on event calendar.
