I live in San Lorenzo, California where the Bohannon Organization owns land that has not be developed for over 20+ years... Way to go Bohannon Org...... wonderful job.

I don't understand Mr. Bohannon's philosophy. While he develops land in Menlo Park, he totally ignores his property in San Lorenzo where his Grandfather got his start. I find it interesting also that in his History, he doesn't even mention San Lorenzo. His grandfather developed a wonderful little Village across the Bay from Menlo Park in the 40's and 50's. Tract housing, the first of it's kind. He has allowed this property deteriorate shamefully.

I read some of the history regarding the elder David D. Bohannon, and he did not get his start in San Lorenzo but in the Belle Haven City in the late '20s and '30s. San Lorenzo was the first tract housing of its kind, and is still a great place to live except we do need more businesses. But, it seems the Bohannon ties to Menlo Park go deep, considering that the Bohannons settled in that area and continue to develop in that area. San Lorenzo Village can't sustain the type of industrial buildings that Menlo Park has, mainly because of the ordinances in place (i.e. - no buildings higher than 2 stories). Still, hopefully San Lorenzo can get some kind of businesses in the area where the Mervyn's moved out, because that was such a great hub for shopping.
