Tunitas Creek And Highway 35

Original post made by Saturday Driver, Woodside: other, on Aug 28, 2007

Does anyone know why Tunitas Creek Road was blocked by a CHP criuser around 5 pm on Saturday August 25? There was a NBC news crew there but, nothing showed up on their web site or on any news broadcasts.

The road was closed because of a liquid chemical spill that was called in around 3 p.m. The CHP thought it might be the flammable chemical Xylene, but the Almanac hasn't been able to confirm that yet. A hazardous materials crew did the clean-up by about 4:15, according to a county emergency offical.
