Let's play gas price!

Original post made by collusion, Menlo Park: Central Menlo Park, on Mar 22, 2010

Ever notice that the four gas stations on El Camino in Menlo Park from Middle to Valpariso seem to always have the same gas prices? Sunday 3/21 unleaded was the $3.1399 at all four stations (76, Chevron and the two Shell). Are they owned by the same person? Do the owners get together for coffee every morning at McDs to decide what the sock-it to the public price will be for the day? Even a 1% price diff would make you guys look better to the public. Oh well, Menlo is known as pricey, I'll just buy my gas in Redwood City when I go to work. Better yet maybe I'll join CostCo, I noticed while shopping at OSH that their price on 3/21 was $2.9599.

Shop at Costco. I no longer worry about getting the lowest price now that I get gas at Costco. I feel that I am no longer getting cheated. I know that I am getting the lowest price in the area.
