When Chuck read his account of this personal Ah ha moment prompted by his experience in Japan on Friday our small group of writers was astonished and touched by how every fiber of his being and ours was transformed into a deeper conciousness of small meaningful demonstrations of love and how fragile life is. Many do not get the chance to tell their story.
Chuck, you got it!

Chuck's gripping account underscores an important fact we happened upon during EQ preparedness training in recent years:

****SMS text messages do indeed get through when cell phones and land lines are down, or jammed by overload of calls.

People need to know that abotu SMS messages. Thanks for sharing this important face inside your compelling and well written story, Chuck.

Even more importantly -- I will not soon forget the lesson of the importance remembering to depart home with a warm, genuine hug and a sincere "I love you." This is a sliver lining of loss... it underscores what's really important, and the preciousness of every blessed moment with which we are blessed.
