The East Palo Alto Police Department reports that it has identified “persons of interest” in the recent murders of Catherine Fisher, 19, of Menlo Park, on July 13, and Hugo Chavez, 26, on July 19.

“The Department believes both murders were committed by member(s) of a violent trio during a crime-spree that spanned from East Palo Alto to Grand Junction, Colorado,” the department announced Sunday night, July 24.

The three were identified as Christian Fuentes, 20, Jaime Cardenas, 19, and Fidel Silva, 24, all of East Palo Alto.

The men are also wanted in connection with two robberies, a burglary and a triple shooting and murder in Grand Junction, Colorado, the department said.

Christian Fuentes was arrested last week by the East Palo Alto and Fremont police and is in custody on a parole violation. Both Mr. Cardenas and Mr. Silva remain at-large and are wanted for the Colorado murder and for questioning in the two East Palo Alto murders, the department said.

Police ask anyone with information about these cases to call the police department’s anonymous tip line at (650) 853-8477 or leave an anonymous text-a-tip at (650) 409-7692.

  1. Well, if Christian Fuentes, Jaime Cardenas, and Fidel Silva are found to be illegal aliens, they should be taken to the nearest airport and given an Argentine flight out over the Mendicino coast where the great whites like to swim.
All over this country, these people are causing mayhem wherever they are killing innocent people. No more waste of money on trials, jails, prisons. Disappear these creeps.
