The correct standard for falsifying documents under perjury

Original post made by Penalty of perjury, Atherton: other, on Mar 12, 2013

"I called the DA because when somebody signs under penalty of perjury and it appears that they may have lied, then I need to get the DA involved," San Jose's acting City Clerk Toni Taber said Monday.

Has anyone at the Almanac or within Atherton done the same for the former Atherton city council member and mayor who said under penalty of perjury that he lived at an address in Atherton to vote in Atherton, but all appearances are that he was lying? That this home had been sold months earlier, and been bulldozed to the ground when the perjury took place?

Or maybe it's better to wait until the Lewis/Wiest axis gets the cops their raise before dealing with this very messy issue.

All indications are the media does not want to report on this story. It's funny. Some thirteen years ago, it was considered incredibly newsworthy.

But then again, look at what happened to Brian Bothun when he broke that story that got the Atherton police chief fired. Can you blame any reporter for not wanting that type of retaliation to happen to them?

In the last three or four days we have seen a series of new topics about Atherton that are accusatory and attacks on people be it police officers and town council members past and present. These articles do not reflect well on the Almanac who should take them down if they were true to their policy. Rene knows who is posting this stuff and allows it. That's pretty funny, quoting the web site that knew no boundaries in going after people to complain about these perfectly legitimate posts.

A crime was committed here against the residents of the Town of Atherton. A crime that people get prosecuted for when they commit it, as history shows.

I suppose when people commit crimes, they sometimes get accused of it. Sorry that bothers you. You're used the the system in which certain people can commit crimes and not get accused of it, especially when they are thick as thieves with the Atherton police department.

The Almanac can pull the voting records and building records anytime to verify this crime was committed.
