Why the Censorship

Original post made by Sharon Heights Resident, Menlo Park: Sharon Heights, on Jul 19, 2013

Early this morning I read a post regarding the 44th anniversary of the tragedy at Chappaquiddick. Later this morning I saw that the post had been taken down. It seems that Almanac has no problems with posts promoting liberal points of view but does not want expressions criticizing liberals.

Can the Almanac provide a reason for its inconsistent censorship other than "It's my newspaper and I will do what I want to do"?

I am worried about the Almanac. It used to be a forum for the free exchange of ideas. It now seems to be departing from that standard.

tHankfully, the trash was removed.

The good American citizens of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts decided that Teddy Kennedy was better than ANY republican over that span, and said so in the most American of ways, at the ballot box. They also, after a brief mistake, decided that seat rightfully belongs to Elizabeth Warren.

For an interesting account of the so called American Legend and Lion of the Senate read this UK publication account of Ted Kennedy

This lion is more like the one in the Wizard of Oz. Kennedy should have gone to Prison. Instead the corrupt Democratic Political Machine in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts managed to get him off.

Agree with poster American Legend - if Edward Kennedy was so bad, how come the stupid opposition couldn't defeat him in 30 years? Were they running even worse bozos, or did the voters of Massachusetts recognize that the horrible republican candidates and the terrible republican policies were a worse choice for working Americans?

History proves that to be the case. Massachusetts voters chose Ted K consistently over the horrid republican candidates and policies.

But mr dfour has to continue smear good Americans when they are long gone. Must be awful to have live such a bitter little life. SHAMEless.

tHANKs for listening!

If you have to ask the question, then you were not paying attention.

I have no issues with Edward Kennedy's political life. But to not admit that he got away without any meaningful punishment for an unintended death (and leaving the scene of an accident) is just ignorant.

Why was he re-elected? He was a liberal democrat who successfully proposed government programs for the less fortunate and beyond. It had nothing to do with what people thought of his disgraceful actions on that fateful night.

Sure, H marks the 44th anniversary of TK running off the road and his passenger dying. It shows just the type of person he is. So much so, after the initial post is deleted, he reposts with a less vitiolic post.

Think he'll mark the 44th anniversary on Feb 26 2056, of the stalking and hunting by G Zimmerman, after being told by police to stay in his car, of Trayvon Martin? That event has far more significance.

Nah. Me, neither.

They're both dead and gone. Let it go.

Stick with politicians that are living. How about Diaper David Vitter, senator LA, who ran on a family values platform. So much, as his favorite hooker reported, that he liked diapers. Vitter, thanks to the good people of Louisiana, is still in office. Think H will castigate the "corrupt (Republican) Political Machine" in LA? Web Link

Again: nah, me neither.

Poor Mrs Vitter, when senator dave admitted to all the prostitution scandals, she had to go to his press conference and try and not look cuckolded, wearing the leopard print dress to show the world she was still vital. She should have sliced his... ah, nevermind.

I don't get why voters would reelect politicians like them.
