President Outgunned

Original post made by Harry Roussard, another community, on Sep 16, 2013

If the media would’ve been straight with us, the American citizens, we would not have been in a situation like this, where a tutu wearing dilettante (Obama) is allowed to be a debutante to dance in the largest and most prestigious theater in the world.

Just over 51% of the population, after a disastrous first four years, applauded and requested an Obama encore to give us more pirouettes, which publicly displayed his dirty underwear in scandals like NSA, Benghazi, the economy, Obamacare, IRS and many others.

Now, is that shame on Obama or on the 51% who again voted for someone clearly not suited nor qualified for the position of prima ballerina assoluta? I say shame on those who let it happen.

Oh, and I am sure Putin is going to get a special bottle of bubbly for yanking Barack’s backside out of the wringer in Syria. That was the grandest of contretemps Mr. Obama got himself and us into, even though Barack first said “no way” to diplomacy” and pushed for a surgical pin-prick attack.

The defense lobby must have been celebrating too early at the thought of replacing all these spent cruise missiles at a mere $1 million each. Another backroom deal, I wonder? The White House is licking its wounds, spinning and rewriting history so as not to look incompetent. They were outclassed and outgunned.

Winner by technical knockout. Russia!

"Just over 51% of the population" opposed to Mr 47 percenter getting 47%.

Losing by 5 million votes. Still stings, doesn't it? That must still bug you every night, while you lie awake.

I think we all won with Syria. You and I didn't want to attack Syria, so Obama's actions worked. No one else was supporting an attack, so the back channel diplomacy worked.

Try harder in 2016 to get those 5 million votes back. Addressing the President of our great country as a ballerina just makes it easier to stay blue. Appreciate your help with the 2nd grader name-calling.

Kind of says it all on the GOP Syria much-ruckus-about-nothing when the 2008 presidential candidate and therefore defacto leader of the party, is playing games on his phone.

Here's a great series of hip-hopping joke-sters: Republican governors that support Obamacare!

These are top GOP govs, many of whom spoke at the Republican National Convention in key time slots reserved for those destined for future leadership roles in the GOP. They're all signing up for Obamacare, though they don't use the O-word. They rename it or allude to it under different covers, such as using O-Care for massively expanding Medicaid, but hey - all are taking the O-bucks! Funny comedians!

The comics:

* Rick Snyder, Michigan
* Tom Corbett, Pennsylvania
* Chris Christie, New Jersey
* Jan Brewer, Arizona
* Susana Martinez, New Mexico
* John Kasich - Ohio

Kasich "has endeared himself to liberal and low-income Ohioans by insisting, loudly and incessantly, that his state participate in the Medicaid expansion under Obamacare. An unapologetic conservative is fighting the tea party and his own Republican legislature because he thinks the less privileged people of Ohio deserve health coverage.

At heaven’s door, Kasich preached, St. Peter is “probably not going to ask you much about what you did about keeping government small. But he is going to ask you what you did for the poor.” "

Next thing you know, these top Republican leaders will deny tax payer subsidies for big agriculture companies and SUPPORT food stamps for the hungry.

Can you imagines the laffs, larfs and giggles!

Obamacare is here to stay, thanks to the Republican Governors of America!

Jokers!

Here's a more complete punchline:

"Michigan Republican Gov. Rick Snyder signed historic Medicaid expansion legislation into law on Monday in the same way the Legislature passed it: With bipartisan support.

Snyder was flanked by Democratic U.S. Rep. John Dingell, who authored part of the Affordable Care Act, as he put his pen to a plan designed to reform Medicaid and expand eligibility to nearly a half million people using federal funding available under the controversial law.

"This is about the health of fellow Michiganders," Snyder said"

John Dingell - can you imagine? I'm howling!

Politico, the liberal leaning political web site excoriates President Obama for his "bait and switch" tactics regarding Obamacare. Obama who has taken a page out of Reverend Ike's book will start the great American fleecing of the unsuspecting public.

But he had help from a fawning national press and television stations who actively campaigned very hard to get the Socialist in Chief another term after a disastrous first term.

from Lae's own link, thanks Lae for highlighting the success of ObamaCare:

"And already, despite the unceasing GOP campaign to sink the law, Obamacare has exceeded expectations in some significant ways.

The growth rate for health care costs has slowed to its lowest level in decades...

More than 3.1 million young adults gained coverage because they could stay on their parents’ insurance; 17 million children with pre-existing conditions can no longer be denied coverage; and insurers have been forced to issue more than $500 million in rebate checks to consumers because they failed to spend at least 80 percent of premiums on medical care.

“The Affordable Care Act has put historic consumer protections in place that have improved the quality and cost of health insurance and will soon provide a simple way for uninsured Americans and their families to shop for quality, affordable coverage in the health insurance marketplaces,” White House spokeswoman Jessica Santillo said. “The landmark improvements to the health system are taking effect on time and are already helping make better coverage available at a more affordable price.”

The broad pillars of Obamacare remain intact: the exchanges, the subsidies and the security of coverage for so many Americans who otherwise couldn’t afford it."

Read more: Web Link

I have already received 2 rebate checks from my insurer because they haven't spent enough on medical care, thanks to ObamaCare.

No more pre-existing conditions. 26 year olds on parents plan. Insurance companies refunding half a BILLION dollars. Slowing the rate of cost growth.

The GOP plan? Don't get sick. If you do, die quickly and save your family the expense.

Who's against ObamaCare? The wackobirds in Congress, because they have too much to lose - from todays NYT:

Eugene Robinson: "Republicans scream that Obamacare is sure to fail. But what they really fear is that it will succeed.

That’s the reason for all the desperation. Republicans are afraid that Obamacare will not prove to be a bureaucratic nightmare — that Americans, in fact, will find they actually like it. [...] Keeping premiums under control will require persuading lots of young, healthy people to buy insurance — and thus, in effect, subsidize those who are older and sicker. That is why a group called Generation Opportunity, funded by the ultraconservative Koch brothers, plans to tour college campuses with disgusting ads in which a creepy Uncle Sam subjects a young woman to a pelvic examination.

The GOP message: Whatever you do, don’t buy health insurance. It may be — shudder — good for you."

How do they fight it? They lie, and sacrifice the health of young adults that should be covered:

Juliet Lapidos: "A Koch-brothers funded conservative group, Generation Opportunity, is out with a wildly misleading, pernicious set of ads aimed at sabotaging the Affordable Care Act by discouraging young people from signing up for health insurance exchanges.

Signing up for an exchange isn’t an act of political (or sexual) submission. It’s just a way to get insurance if you don’t have a job or your employer doesn’t provide it. The Generation Opportunity crowd surely knows that and obviously doesn’t care because its priority now, as ever, is bringing down President Obama’s signature domestic accomplishment. The group also doesn’t care about the possibility that some number of young people, scared by its ads, will forgo access to affordable care, get sick, and go bankrupt paying their medical bills."

Disgusting.

So the vitriol that Henry Roussard writes now gets moved front and center by The Almanac. Obama is a "Tutu wearing dilletante" ? Are you serious?

It's been clear for some time that The Almanac and Palo Alto Online have been hard-up for actual news (not much happens around here), so they've tried to stir up as much craziness as possible to increase readership. Reminds me of the old National Enquirer.

We are living in an area that is among the wealthiest and most educated -- and certainly most beautiful -- in the U.S., why is there so much anger and self-pity about every single issue?

It's tiresome.

During the heat of the 2012 presidential campaign, when Obama was preening his tough guy image, he blurted out: “we have been very clear to the Assad regime, but also to other players on the ground, that a red line for us is we start seeing a whole bunch of chemical weapons moving around or being utilized. That would change my calculus.”

In reality, the president didn’t set a red line as much as paint the United States into a corner.

The outcome is increased Russian influence in a dangerous region of the globe. I expect frightening consequences. Putin is now in charge of disarming chemical weapons in Syria, the same country Russia has spent the last half century arming. Meanwhile, Putin is actually escalating the shipment of conventional arms to Syria, ensuring the Syrian civil war continues.

While Obama has been pontificating about chemical weapons, over 100,000 Syrians have been killed by the conventional weapons Putin continues pouring into Assad’s waiting arms.

In addition to what he is doing in Syria, Putin is using the cover from Obama to double down in Iran, The Russians announced last week that they’re selling sophisticated S-300 air defense missiles to Iran and are also ready to help build a second nuclear reactor for the Bushehr Nuclear Plant.

Obama did a masterful job!

No attacking another middle eastern country, diplomacy saved lives. None of our allies supported an attack anyway.

Even Republican Nicole Wallace agreed Obama did well. Wallace, the campaign manager for McCain/Palin-the-half-termer, said this week: "Republican senator Corker said it's hard to deny that Obama didn't land on some solid ground"

Obama just followed the plan laid out a year ago by none other than THE HEAD OF FOX NEWS, Roger Ailes, who said:

“Putin is angry. ..... Okay, fine, that’s how he feels. If I were president, I’d get in a room with him and say, ‘Look at the slaughter going on in Syria. You can stop it. Do it, and I’ll see to it that you can get all the credit. I’ll tell the world it was you who saved the innocent children of Syria from slaughter. ... But instead of looking for one huge deal that settles everything, you take a piece of the problem and solve it. ... Everybody needs dignity. And what does it cost? You get what you want you give up nothing.”

Obama and Kerry did a GREAT job! Let Russia 'solve ' this, let them have the credit. Big whoop-de-do, who gives a...., no one cares, except one particular group -

Dear Bullies,

All that shows is that Roger Ailes is a lot smarter than Obama. Duh! Everyone knows that. Putin played Obama like Itzhak Perlman playing a Stradivarius.

Putin is a master of negotiations and Obama is a mere dilettante. The first thing they teach you in B school is never issue an ultimatum. It severely limits your options and ability to negotiate. Obama issued an ultimatum and painted himself into a corner.

One rule of negotiation is to be prepared to give something up that the other side thinks is very important to you but in reality it is a red herring that you are willing to give up to keep the real thing you want off the negotiation table. Putin was masterful.

Obama put his foot in his mouth with the red line ultimatum. What a dummkopf!

Then Putin comes to the rescue by offering to take care of the Chemical Weapons problem. The chemical weapons were Putin's throwaway and were a throwaway from the very beginning. And Obama eagerly took Putin's bait. Putin's real end game was to silence any Obama objections over conventional weapons.

Putin was the real master here. Over 100,000 Syrians have been killed with conventional weapons provided by Russia to Syria and Putin has more coming Assad's way. With the so called chemical weapon bailout of Obama Putin effectively neutered Obama regarding any protests about conventional weapons.

It is really embarrassing to see Putin so easily out-negotiate and outmaneuver Obama.

The United States has lost prestige and power in the Middle East. Obama is widely seen as an amateur who has not a soupçon of common sense or experience. Unfortunately with Obama at the helm the United States is a rudderless ship with no direction. It is the ship of fools.

Hopefully the mid-term elections will restore some dignity and prestige to the United States.

"Putin is a master of negotiations" Ha! Translation: Russia has bought Assad's military (look at Syria's GDP, they could never affords that army.) He who buys your tanks, calls your shots.

Wow, what a master of 'negotiations'! Sort of like Daddy Stumpf telling Stumpf Jr. he what the rules are about posting on his computer. Is that negotiating?

"Hopefully the mid-term elections will restore some dignity and prestige to the United States."

Yup, we agree. With Canadian Cruz 'filibustering' (but not really a filibuster) a bill for a couple hours, and then voting for that very bill, yes, Americans can't wait to tell the GOP about shutting down the government.

Ted 'Calgary' Cruz says: "a vote for cloture is a vote to fund ObamaCare" Cruz then votes for cloture!

Government Shutdown help the GOP in midterms? Nope. "CBS News/New York Times poll: Eighty percent of Americans say threatening a government shutdown during budget debates is not an acceptable way to negotiate; only 16 percent think it is"

80% oppose republicans.

That's even more than Mr 47% got in the last election.

Poor LaeNight. Feels so bad that Obama solved the "crisis" by not bombing someone and getting American Military service members killed.

Why do chickenhawks always want to get the US military killed in action?

another poll:

"Almost two-thirds of the people who watched President Obama’s Tuesday night speech on Syria are confident a diplomatic solution will avert the use of military force in Syria.

Sixty-five percent of people think it’s either very likely or somewhat likely that a deal can be struck to avoid a U.S. strike, according to a CNN/ORC International poll" Read more: Web Link

As Fox News said, from above, THE HEAD OF FOX NEWS, Roger Ailes said:

“Putin is angry. ..... Okay, fine, that’s how he feels. If I were president, I’d get in a room with him and say, ‘Look at the slaughter going on in Syria. You can stop it. On Aug. 22, an unknown group fired rockets into residential neighborhoods around Damascus, injuring hundreds of people. Obama immediately blamed Assad. Putin countered and said, “not so fast”. Putin didn’t blame anyone because there was no proof as to who was the provocateur, but wisely said it was more than likely a challenge designed to rope the USA into another Middle Eastern war. Obama is the one who wanted to go to war and it was Putin who wisely said to exercise restraint. Obama was the cowboy ready to go in with guns blazing. Putin had the calm head and wisdom prevailed

Obama didn’t care who initiated the attack and neither did Secretary of State, Kerry. They wanted the world to believe it was Assad so Obama could appear to be tough (The truth is that Michelle could easily kick Obama's bony little a** any day of the week). Obama quickly ordered the military to be prepared for torpedo strikes fired from American destroyers off shore. But when world opinion turned on Obama because he didn't have any proof to back up his reckless and provocative rhetoric, along with Obama’s biggest ally, the U.K. balking on the idea of another Middle East incursion, Obama thankfully lost his nerve and handed the military intervention decision over to Congress after he told Congress he didn't need their approval. What a putz.

Obama drew the line in the sand but could get no one to support him. Obama is a real loser.

Perhaps his approval rating is 75% among criminals, prostitutes, drug addicts, socialists, anarchists, nihilists, and illegal aliens; but it is only 43% among a cross section of Americans.

"43% ... of Americans" ARE "criminals, prostitutes, drug addicts, socialists, anarchists, nihilists, and illegal aliens"

Kinda says it all about the haters, doesn't it?

They still can't get over the shellacking Obama gave the GOP, two elections in a row.

What words will Rush Limbaugh put in Late Night's mouth tomorrow? Stay tuned boys and girls, to tomorrow's episode of Haters gotta Hate (brought to you by the drug fueled Rush Limbaugh!)

Rush must leave an awful taste.

Obama did beat Putin by a huge margin on another question in the poll – which leader was the least effective on Syria. Forty-four percent said Obama was the least effective and just 10 percent said the same of Putin, the survey showed.

As Fox News said, from above, the head of Fox News - Roger Ailes said:

“Putin is angry. ..... Okay, fine, that’s how he feels. If I were president, I’d get in a room with him and say, ‘Look at the slaughter going on in Syria. You can stop it. Do it, and I’ll see to it that you can get all the credit. ... And what does it cost? You get what you want you give up nothing.”

Obama did a fine job. No American BLOOD or TREASURE spilled. Bush, Cheney and the other CHICKEN-HAWKS should learn from this valuable lesson.

Never listen to republicans on foreign policy - they take us into unnecessary land wars in the Middle East. Just like Reagan and getting 300 Marines murdered in Lebanon. Just like Bush in Iraq.

Never trust a republican on defense.

Quinnipiac "American voters oppose 72 - 22 percent Congress shutting down the federal government to block implementation of the Affordable Care Act, or Obamacare, according to a Quinnipiac University national poll released today."

Quinnipiac "Looking at the 2014 Congressional races, voters pick a generic Democrat over a generic Republican candidate 43 - 34 percent, the widest Democratic margin measured so far."

PPP "Republicans had a 12 point lead on the generic House ballot with independents on our July poll, that's now a tie"

PPP "PPP's newest national poll finds a bipartisan consensus on one issue during a time of great division: voters think members of Congress who vote to repeal Obamacare should also give up their government funded health care. 74% agree with that sentiment to only 12% who disagree. And there's not much of a difference about it across party lines- independents (80/8), Democrats (75/14), and Republicans (69/15) all think that if you vote to get rid of Obamacare you should give up your health insurance too."

See ya, Cryin' John Beonher... won't miss ya. The GOP needs a speaker that's as effective as The Hammer (indicted Tom Delay) or Nancy Pelosi. Someone who can control their party. Boneher can't control a kindergarten class.

And guess who pays for it? "Republicans had a 12 point lead on the generic House ballot with independents on our July poll, that's now a tie"

"The Nobel Prize for chemistry was announced this week. It was awarded to Senator Ted Cruz for mixing up that batch of Kool-Aid that the Republicans seem to be drinking on Capitol Hill."

Nancy Pelosi poster: never shut down the government
-
"People are actually getting very pissed off at this government shutdown. But Republicans say, 'Remember one thing. We are standing up for an important principle…and as soon as we figure out what it is, you will be the first to know.'"
---Bill Maher

"[Michelle Bachmann] is a true conservative with a vision of our country's future…or possibly of a coat rack or a bird. I could never tell what she was looking at."
---Stephen Colbert

"After the shutdown debacle, the tea party's approval rating is 23 percent. In other words, it's the first time the tea party has ever been supported by a minority."
---Conan O'Brien

"Some in Congress are acting like this is a big achievement. I don't think so. If you pick up a gun and don't shoot yourself in the leg with it, that's not really an achievement."
---Jimmy Kimmel

via The Daily Show, about the b******* attempt by Republicans to blame both parties for the $24 billion Republican-orchestrated shutdown:

"Both sides?!! Look, you think Obamacare is a big enough threat to this country that you need to shut down the government over it? Fine! Own it. Don’t fart and point at the dog."
---Jon Stewart

No one ever challenged this lie?
