I would like the candidates for the Sequoia school board to respond to this interview: Anthony Carnevale talked about an Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development study on literacy and basic math skills among adults 16-25 in 23 countries, and he responded to telephone calls and electronic communications. According to the results, U.S. workers are falling behind other developed countries in skills that are needed in the modern workplace. Mr. Carnavale said that while in the past generally only upper management needed critical thinking, problem-solving, and other higher level skills, the modern economy requires these skills from most workers.
