Sun to Set Later Starting Tonight

On December 5, 5, and 7 the sun set at 4:50 PM PST in Menlo Park, CA. Tonight December 8, the sun will set at 4:51 PM and will continue set later until June 25, 2014 where it will plateau for 7 days.

The sun will continue to rise later until January 4, 2014 when for 4 days the sun will rise at 7:24 AM. After January 7 the sun will start having earlier sunrises starting with a 7:23 AM sunrise on January 8.

On June 25 through July 1 (7 consecutive days) the sun will set at 8:34 PM PDT. After that date the sun will continue to set earlier until December 5, 2014.

On June 9 through June 17, 2014 (9 consecutive days) the sun will rise at 5:47 AM PDT. After that date the sun will continue to rise later for the rest of the year.
