Almanac Endorses Don Horsley, hard to comment

Original post made by Michael G. Stogner, another community, on May 22, 2014

They have made it difficult for citizens to comment on their thread, this will be easier.
This came from the original post, they claim I have a distaste for elected county officials, not true, however I do have a distaste for the behavior of some elected officials.

"Mr. Horsley changed his mind about giving up his salary as a supervisor while collecting a county pension of more than $200,000 a year, a campaign by Mr. Stogner and others forced the former sheriff to reverse his decision."

I would love to know who the (others) are that the Almanac is giving credit to for the correction of Don Horsley behavior, I have all of my e-mails and would be willing to produce them if asked. Just a reminder we the public were notified December 26, 2013 46 days after he started receiving the salary, by simply not signing the wavier.

Meet Michael Stogner, and then meet Don Horsley. Horsley is a fine politician. As human beings go, Michael Stogner runs circles around him, since he wants to do what's right, not politically correct or expedient. He hasn't been pulling down a huge pension, he's not wealthy, he's had his own problems as we all have had (nothing like Munks), but it would be difficult to find a finer human being who is concerned with helping others, particularly the disenfranchised. San Mateo county residents would be doing themselves a huge favor by electing him as a supervisor.
