Sunset moved its headquarters from San Francisco to Menlo Park in the early 1950s, and the campus was rebuilt and dedicated in 1964, according to “Menlo Park: Beyond the Gate,” a history book by Michael Svanevik and Shirley Burgett.
Sunset was sold to Time Warner in 1990. Time Inc. has just revealed that it is considering selling the property.
