Anyone else offended by "moms were usually at home being moms"?? This is a sweet article about a smart and resourceful woman, Noyon Berg, who undoubtedly could have accomplished many more things, if she wished to, had she grown up a century later. Not sure I would wax on about the good ole days when women were stuck in their homes taking care of children all alone, their husbands at work "being husbands." (Would we tolerate a sentence that read, "when African Americans were usually at home, being servants"?)
I don't want my daughter reading things like this to make her think that she (or her children) are worse off for all the options she has today.
