Trump tweets - proud to reside in another universe

Original post made by Art Mann, Menlo Park: other, on Aug 12, 2016

This morning at oh-dark thirty:

I love watching these poor, pathetic people (pundits) on television working so hard and so seriously to try and figure me out. They can't!

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 12, 2016

Truer words never spoke - we cannot figure you out. So ignorant.

My kingdom for a real candidate: a Rockefeller, a 96 Dole, a 2000 McCain, a 2008 Huntsman or a 2008 Webb.

Where have the serious repubs gone? Any left?

So very sad.

That is all.

There is talk of Trump's Doom Loop. (ie. negative reinforcement loop.)

"Dan Drezner suggests Donald Trump has stumbled into a campaign doom loop:

1. Trump’s polling gets a negative shock
2. Fewer moderates attend his rallies
3. Only hardcore supporters go see Trump
4. Trump tailors speeches to get a rise out of his audience
5. With an audience of crazies, Trump needs to sound even crazier
6. In sounding crazier, Trump’s poll numbers sink, more voters turned off
7. Back to #2"

Rinse (off moderate support). Repeat.

Again and again and again and again and again and again and again.

It used to be Trump's destructive statements came about every 72-96 hours.

This week it was every day.

The polls are weeks behind.

Trump is complete toast. He doesn't care. He's building his nationalist base for his new network. Doesn't care about winning anymore.

Michael Savage called trumps pal "Paul Ukraine Manafort" today.

Wow. Losing Savage takes work. 12 million in bribes worth of work.

The Russian Ukraine thing is baaaad news.

20 million in cash payments and offshore tax havens. Wow.

I listened to Trump talk today - some rally being broadcast on God right radio 860. Trump sounded drugged. No pizzazz. I assume it was they forced him to a teleprompter. Sounded half dead.

Wow.

M9re bad news for Trumps choice as campaign chair

Brutal. Dudes going to jail for helping Putin.

Historic interference in a US election.

No wonder they put trumpet on a teleprompter.

Trumpette is such a liar, the media doesn't even bother any more.

Web Link

"A couple weeks ago, I got an email from a friend of mine, a former journalist who attended a Trump rally in Jacksonville. He wrote that at one point, Trump insinuated Hillary Clinton is having an affair with Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe. “I’m surprised,” wrote my friend, “such a repugnant comment wasn’t picked up on by the national media.

A major candidate implying that his opponent is sleeping with another man? How awful is this guy that even a comment like that gets lost in the mix?”

The short answer? Very."

Trumpette says he will finally decide what his immigration policy will be, after a year of insisting he supports American racists, and then changing his mind over the last week. Will give a teleprompter version of what his handlers want him to say on Wednesday. By Friday, Trumpette climbs back in bed with the racists.

All year long, we hear WALL RAPISTS WALL MURDERERS WALL CRIMINALS WALL DEPORT THEM ALL WALL WALL WALL

This weekend - maybe the wall will be a "virtual" barrier in places.

Trump just repeats what he heard from the last person he talked to - his new campaign CEO (the alt-right racist from Brietbart) has more of a documented history hating Jews, so the wall isn't so important now.

Amazing.

New Yorker - 1st in series on the candidate's lies

But sometimes there really is something new under the political sun. Donald Trump, the Republican nominee for President, does not so much struggle with the truth as strangle it altogether. He lies to avoid. He lies to inflame. He lies to promote and to preen. Sometimes he seems to lie just for the hell of it. He traffics in conspiracy theories that he cannot possibly believe and in grotesque promises that he cannot possibly fulfill. When found out, he changes the subject—or lies larger.

His lies about immigration and crime

In his exhaustively researched 2012 book, “Great American City,” Sampson noted that, in Chicago, “increases in immigration and language diversity over the decade of the 1990s predicted decreases in neighborhood homicide rates.” Other scholars have turned up similar findings. In 2013, a team of researchers published a paper on Los Angeles that found that “concentrations of immigrants in neighborhoods are linked to significant reductions in crime.”

A 2014 study examining a hundred and fifty-seven metropolitan areas in the United States found that violent crime tended to decrease when the population of foreign-born residents rose.
