Fantastic news! We are delighted that Woodside Bakery's wonderful treats will still be available so close by! We have especially missed the delicious, crunchy chocolate chip cookies! And we look forward to the opening of the Cafe. We hope they have room for that. It was one of our favorite places to get a casual meal out. We need a restaurant like the Woodside Cafe in the area and it will certainly be very popular.
We will miss Martha's Bakery, but we are glad she found a way to go out of business when she wanted to while passing her terrific recipes on to the Woodside Bakery. We love her challah--especially her sugar/candy coated challah for the Jewish New Year--and we look forward to being able to get it at the Woodside Bakery.
Good news all around!

Sounds like Woodside loss, Menlo Parks gain. I will have to try the bakery and the Café when it opens.

The Woodside Bakery needs to get the recipe for the Pecan Sticky Buns from Martha. That is the métier of all sticky buns. A ton of butter, generous pecans and a chewiness that is incredible. They are m0re addictive than crack cocaine.

Mark took the high road, and was heart sick when they kicked him out. To support Mark we will be shopping at Safeway right next to his new place. They kicked him out, and jacked up the rent with the new people. It is my understanding they will be paying 23,000 a month.

Does anyone know hold to call the bakery? The last number doesn't get through or take messages.
Thanks

To Our Dear Woodside Bakery Customers
Today, March 15, marks one year since our Farewell Celebration from Woodside. Hard to believe isn’t it? And how we have missed you one and all!
The wait is over…..
We are so happy to announce that we have landed in our new home in Sharon Heights Shopping Center, off Sand Hill Road in Menlo Park. We were able to take over an existing, well-loved bakery that has served the community for over 60 years. And, if you can believe this – the prior owner of 28 years, Martha, had her first baking job and received her training at the Woodside Bakery, from Doug Bassegio, in 1983. It’s almost as if this was “meant to be”. As Martha said – the circle is now complete. We will be transitioning into a full café and bakery, serving breakfast and lunch, over the next year. In the meantime, our bakery is open for your enjoyment Monday thru Friday 6:30am to 5:30pm and Saturday 7:30am to 5:30pm, Closed on Sundays.
Come on in to enjoy all your old favorites and a few new ones, as we have taken “the best of” ours and Martha’s to create an awesome array of pastry selections.
We are proud to feature VERVE coffee from Santa Cruz as our brewed and espresso coffees. Also featuring Teapig silk sachet teas.
Don’t forget -- you can send an e-gift by going onto our website and clicking on the YIFTEE icon. It’s that easy!
Look forward to seeing you real soon!
Jan and Mark Sweyer
