House Republicans Flip-Flop on ETHICS - Fill The Swamp!

Original post made by Ritchie, Atherton: other, on Jan 3, 2017

After Trump tweets that their "timing" is bad.

House G.O.P., Under Fire, Flip-Flops on Ethics Report Web Link

The GOP was going to Fill The Swamp further by removing the only independent ethics committee. Trump is for it, but only thought the timing looked bad.

Trump:
With all that Congress has to work on, do they really have to make the weakening of the Independent Ethics Watchdog, as unfair as it ........may be, their number one act and priority. Focus on tax reform, healthcare and so many other things of far greater importance! #DTS

The timing is bad for Donald, and he thinks the "Independent Ethics Watchdog" is unfair. Donald rather have his personal tax rate cut FIRST!

Fill The Swamp!

What do Almanac readers think of the Swamp Fillers in Washington?

I can't believe they snuck through a secret vote ON A HOLIDAY as their first act of this congressional session.

I guess they look at all Trumps' conflicts and thought they wanted to get on that Trump cash gravy train.

All the noice about this and the headlines about repeal with no replacement and it allows the House to hide the huge news about the budget changes.

Last year was calls for balance budgets. Yesterday they admitted to adding 9 Trillion to the national debt.

In black and white.

Paul Ryan and Donald Trump - world class hypocrites.

Reports of a blizzard if calls into congressional offices put the kibosh on this ridiculous plan. Hooray for those that paid attention!
