Will Noah's Ark pass by the police gym and cafe?

Original post made by Confused, Atherton: West Atherton, on Feb 20, 2017

As I write this, Isabella, Almendral, and Selby Lane entrances off El Camino are all completely flooded.

Why is the town council prioritizing building a grandiose town center when we clearly have drainage issues that must get addressed?

Take the money from the gym and the cafe, and build a drainage system with it. These are not needed for the town center. Drainage for the residents is needed.

The mayor should come on here to explain how this is being prioritized!

Let me explain…

Several of the council members had their campaigns financed by the police union (Lewis, Wiest). Others don't want to get sideways with the police because the only council member who had the guts to question stuff with them was persecuted (McKeithen). The finance director who tried to audit the police department was fired.

That's why the priorities are building them a gym and a cafe to have lunch at after their workout instead of fixing the drainage.

It's really quite simple to grasp once you understand the history.
