Where is MP PD?

Theft of locked and secured items from carports and storage lockers at night is rampant, but ominously we never read about these on here (except some petty crimes).
MP PD is nowhere to be seen after dark in Central Menlo (walking my dog late I have maybe seen MPPD once during the last 5 years).

Are renters who don't own second class citizens who don't get protection?

Or are theft/burglary just the price we have to pay on top of the fabulous taxes?
