Wolfgang and I met when we started our studies in Heidelberg, and became good friends. For several years we shared the student life, the stress and the fun. We skied together in spring vacations and used one summer vacation for a four week tour with his cousin through Italy with tent and an old car, to become acquainted with the rich culture of that country.
Wolfgang was not one to dwell on the negative, or sit around to do nothing. He believed life was to be shaped, to be fun and to be full of laughter, but also that life has its responsibilities . So it is not at all surprising that he became a good scientist, a successful businessman, and with Ursula had a very happy family.
