Helen Alburger, early Ladera resident, dies at age 94

Helen Eileen Alburger, who with her husband was among the earliest residents of the Ladera community, died at her home on Jan. 4 at the age of 94.

Helen will be missed.'HA HA' as her license plate on her car read. She was a vital and lively woman, always with a smile. I will always have fond memories of her working for her sister Gen Merrill at Merrill Properties. Gen was a heavy smoker but Helen was not. She sat quietly doing her duties in an office of smoke. That might explain why she outlived her sister for so many years.
My sympathies to her family.
