National Merit Scholarship winners announced

Five high school students who attend schools in The Almanac's coverage area have been named winners of National Merit Scholarships of $2,500.

Hearty congratulations to all of the winners! May you apply the award to college majors that fuel your passion.

Also pictured is Anna Eshoo — our congresswoman who has been around forever. This week she voted for the “Equality Act.” Even ardent feminists hate this piece of legislation. Among other things, the Equality Act will destroy women’s sports by allowing transgender women to compete against biological females.
