So isn't it time (Atherton Council) to eliminate blowers of all types ???
Beyond the pollutants created by gas blowers, the hazardous pollutants that become airborne are of the highest concern.
Example: I wash my car on Sundays. Across the street on Monday, behind me on Tuesday, next door on Wednesday, and across the street on Thursday the gas powered leaf blowers buzz away. The mow and blow guys don't wear masks or eye protection. Up in the air goes volumes of dirt, containing pollutants. Carcinogens ??? Probably.
My car is dirty from the week's mow and blow work. It's not that the car is filty. It's that the airborne dirt from hundreds of feet away that no doubt is in our lungs.

Let's get that issue on the table.

So the Town has the money to finance the Taj Mahal civic center with no need for borrowing. Don't worry about it! Mayor Bill has it under control.

…….several months later

We're going to borrow $10M without public permission as we are about to enter a recession.

Bill Widmer needs to own up to this fiasco.

As to the noisy gas leaf blower‘s I am with the first contributor, MemberOne.
I have the same problem with filthy Dusty noisy leave blowers to the left and right of me into the back and I can hear them from my yard when they blow across the street. And they’re blowing all that dust and pollution into the air and into my yard and into my home. I installed a DecibelX App on my phone and I stood at my fence and the decibels were off the chart in the red zone next-door. It is so noisy it’s illegal. Please please please go to electric leaf blowers for residence in Atherton! We are allowing pollution of leaf blower’s and Atherton while other cities are limiting new construction to electric stoves & appliances. Doesn’t make sense .

Don't miss out on the discussion!
