Awesome - I hear they're bringing in fast food hamberders. So classy.

Yes, he is always welcome, hamberrders and all. I forgot what percentage he got in 2016 from our great town. What was it?

More or less than the 18% (eight-embarrassing-teen) he got in all of San Mateo county?

Is Mexico delivering a check for the silly wall to him while he's here in PV?

Welcome to Portola Valley, Mr. Peace President!

By this time in the Obama presidency (two and a half years in), Mr. Obama had destabilized Libya (creating a failed state) and pulled US troops out of Iraq (allowing the rise of the murderous ISIS regime).

> pulled US troops out of Iraq

Per George Bush's SOFA agreement requiring it. Remember the Iraqi who threw his shoes at Bush? Yeah, that agreement.

Let's not forget it was Republicans that lied America into Iraq.

@Trump to lunch in Portola Valley - it doesn’t matter what percent he got in this liberal dumpsterfire of a county/state in 2016, he won the presidency! And because your brain surgeon candidates keep cannibalizing your party, he’ll win again in 2020.
Thank you for keeping America great, Mr. President!

Glad that this community which is so proud of being "inclusive" and "tolerant" is welcoming President Trump who represents a different point of view than our daily Socialist echo-chamber. Sometimes your party loses elections and moves the country in a different direction. Now if we could just get these voters to see what a mess this state has become we might be able to make some progress in CA.

Can't imagine why one would stay here when it's so awful, and be part of a very small fringe minority. Must be painful to be one of the 18-percenters.

> and moves the country in a different direction

Yes. After Trump won and the country moved back to the center in 2018 by electing a Democratic House majority, in one of the biggest spankings in years -> 40+ seats.

I grew up in Menlo Park abd spebt time in Portola Valley until I moved in the early 1970s and supported congressman Younger and later voted for Reagan, but I cannot believe anyone with an IQ over ten would support and vote for Trump and waste their money supporting him. Must all be employed in Silicon Valley.
I do not need to return to the Peninsula or any Menlo Atherton reunions. We used to go to the old Rossatis (new Name) or the Dutch Goose. Those days are definitely older. I guess progress is moving backward.

I'm glad I'm not out on my bike riding the PV Loop today

I saw that Ben Carson came along for the ride with 45. Maybe he can dictate where PV will build all their affordable housing.

Surprising levels of blind support for a corrupt dictator/wannabe in this otherwise enlightened community!

Thanks for closing I-280. Don't come back.

I agree, Driver. Obama visited more than once and closed 280, Woodside Rd, Atherton Ave, etc. Stanford University was practically on lock-down when Obama came and landed his helicopter on campus. What a mess but I don’t remember anyone complaining about it.

Sorry about your memory issues. A quick search will show how wrong that claim is...

Here's a couple that came up immediately, and a picked a couple milder ones (again, sorry about that memory thing ya got going on...)

OY! We're tapped! Enough of using your office to raise money at the expense of low and middle income taxpayers.

Gotta stop by the Atherton ATM; don't forget Hillary's coming soon. Better save some for her.

Took 20 seconds to find a couple for you (it's a slow database, after all.)
