To Quid Pro Joe: I think capitalism is doing just fine under President Trump. Middle class has more money to spend, unemployment is down, employment is up for women, Hispanics and African-Americans. Stock market is up.
NATO is going to be just fine, and our wonderful European allies might just start paying what they should have been paying for the last 40 or 50 years under Trump. Not so sure you would have the cajones to confront them with their underpayment.
Better make some other arguments because the two you picked are stacked in Trump’s favor and against you.

See Federalists papers 22 and 68, and Washington's Farewell Address.
Washington, Hamilton, Madison: beware of foreign influence
Trump: yo, China, wanna negotiate a trade deal? Offer me dirt on my opponent first.
---
G. Washinton: "Against the insidious wiles of foreign influence...the jealousy of a free people ought to be constantly awake, since history and experience prove that foreign influence is one of the most baneful foes of republican government."
Trump: yo, China, wanna make a dirty deal?

Clinton: so, China, here’s a bunch of US military technology.
Gore: Thanks, China, for all your campaign contributions.
You mean like that?
Or like Hillary and the DNC: Let's get this British ex-spy go to Russia to dig up dirt on Trump. And let’s get our buddies in Ukraine to dig up stuff on Manafort, so we can discredit Trump.
Like that? It all stinks.

Trump admitted this week, publicly, he broke the law.
@westmenlo defends Trump's law breaking admission with some fever swamp fantasies from the 90's. Gore! Clinton!
And then adds in Manafort, the guy with 8 felony convictions for tax fraud, bank fraud and more.
* * *
So let's see who's on what side... that's quite an interesting defense you have there. Remember who you're going up against:
- George Washington
- Alexander Hamilton
- James Madison
On your side - convicted felon Paul Manafort?
I'll stick with the Founding Fathers, as will any patriotic American.

Smilin Joe’s son caught with his hand in the Ukranian cookie jar peddlin influence, access & who knows what else. Tell me again, how do you get a $50k per month job on the board of a corrupt oil company in Ukraine? Oh wait, his dad is a nice & honest guy so must be legit

There is zero evidence to support the fantasies of the trumpettes above.
Yet: Trump admitted this week, publicly, he broke the law.

When Vice-President, Joseph Biden ran interference for his son Hunter - to get him business and money from foreign regimes/companies. Not nearly as bad as Trump - but still disqualifying. Move on. There are candidates without such baggage.

Trump broke the law, asking foreign governments to interfere in our American elections.
Patriotism over party. Rule of Law over criminality and autocrats.
...or as fringe partisans say: "Move on. There are candidates without such baggage."

Trump breaks the law in public, and the partisans invent something about a candidate who won't get the mod anyway.
Anything to deflect from Trump breaking the law.
