It's really hard to read that the community of Woodside would prioritize cost over environmental issues in their decision not to install solar panels on the town hall. "Visual damage!" What about damage to our air quality, water, climate? Come on, Woodside! Most of you have more sense that this! If Woodside were a poor community one MIGHT understand, but really! I am redoing my own solar system, having adopted it years ago, not because it was cost-effective. I don't know whether it has been or not, but it's irrelevant. I didn't even consider that. I did it because it was the right thing to do for the environment. Does Woodside have to burn for your council members to get it. Cost, visual are not nearly as important as leaving a liveable planet to our children.

We know who has to go: Livermore and Dumbkowski are too old and out of touch to be “leading” anything. Please move on guys, and let Woodside have a chance to stop being a political laughingstock.

I can’t believe one of the wealthiest communities in Silicon Valley decided to reject solar project at a Town Hall. I guess the city council are led the conservatives?

I fear the critics of the Town Council's decision don't understand the whole picture. Town of Woodside already gets 100% solar from PCE. A costly rooftop array would be redundant!

Don't miss out on the discussion!
