Town's departure would be a 'tremendous blow,' says fire board president

As Atherton considers a separation from the Menlo Park Fire Protection District, which has provided the town's fire services for decades, the town's leaders assert that there's good reason to consider such a move.

Can you say "Grandstanding". Atherton wants out because they think they pay too much now. They will pay more if they separate.

Time for the Town to move on.
