If I need to do something ...

Original post made by Ed Kyser, Portola Valley: other, on Mar 13, 2020

“If I need to do something, I’ll do it,” Mr. Trump said on Thursday.  What is needed is a president who acknowledges his limitations and ignorance, listens to pandemic experts, and does not lie to the American public.  And no, assigning the problem to Pence is not a solution, or even a step in the right direction.  And no, the solution is not to decree another travel ban on foreigners and exempt politically favored nations (UK and Ireland).  The consensus in the medical community is that we need extensive testing and social intervention.  NOW.
