'The first big exhale in awhile.' After months of takeout, restaurants reopen for outdoor dining

On the first days Santa Clara and San Mateo counties allowed eateries to reopen for outdoor meals, many people enjoyed their first sit-down restaurant meal since March.

While walking downtown this past Saturday saw people dining and hanging out. One Menlo PD woman chatting with a group of people, none of them wearing masks including her.

Too bad. Personal choice but no concern for anyone around them.

I hope the local governments take into account that these local restaurants only have a few months to make some of their losses back, before it gets too cold for outdoor dining. These governments need to speed up all the approval processes.
