Tech companies, research institutes cash in on federal loan program

Research institutes, tech companies and hotels were among Midpeninsula's biggest beneficiaries of the federal Paycheck Protection Program, with some recipients getting loans of over $5 million, according to data released this week.

It seems imperative to spend our money at the local restaurants that did not receive loan funds.
Their staying power is limited and the food/service may be equal, if not better.

The terms of the loan means the companies won't lay off employees till Oct 1?

Geez, blood on the streets, the month before the election. More proof my Republican Party has completely forgotten how to govern. Bozos in the White House. God help us.

Why is a Family Office in Atherton, based at a home, receiving PPP dollars? Ruder Family investments in Atherton for those who care about not entitled people working the system
