Delivering a fond farewell: Portola Valley residents celebrate 'beloved' UPS driver on his last day

If you've lived in Portola Valley awhile, there's a good chance that you know Lew Hess, a UPS driver who handled the town's route for 35 years. The town celebrated Hess' career with a retirement send-off and proclamation last month.

I imagine others too are experiencing a little PTSD as a UPS truck approaches and you look to see if Lew is in there . It is kind of strange! Already missed but not forgotten.
