Thanks Almanac for sharing both views. Very helpful.

Can you also publish a counter view to the featured opinion piece on Prop 15?

Berman is so focused on collecting campaign contributions from Cal Train supporters that he totally ignores the traffic disaster that will occur when the crossing gates are down 3X over current down times. How is it even conceivable that we allow Cal Train and HSR to run 10-20 trains per hour on tracks that have at grade crossings?

While I appreciate the need for a mass transit option on the peninsula, RR would only maintain a strategy that is no longer viable, RR is deigned to keep Caltrain "As IS" until we are "Back To Normal". However, we will not be back to the pre-COVID ridership for MANY years - if ever! Look around to other areas of the world that are reinventing their mass transit.

Instead of raising taxes to "Keep Caltrain Whole", Caltrain needs to restructure to reality & create shorter trains that meet the new commuting realities. IF we give them more $, they will just spend it of an "Old Model" that needs to be drastically changed.

Please vote NO & demand a new model for service on the Caltrain right of way.
