Rep. Jackie Speier introduces bill for Bay's environmental health

Rep. Jackie Speier, D-San Francisco/San Mateo, announced a bill on Thursday that seeks to use federal funding to improve the San Francisco Bay's environmental health.

Finally, the San Francisco Bay might receive a significant increase in restoration funding. When compared to the Chesapeake Bay it has been minuscule despite its being the largest estuary on the west coast of the Americas and critical to fisheries and commerce.
