The case ran its course, and a verdict was reached. The wheels of justice grind on.

What bothers me is that US Congresswoman Maxine Waters spent the weekend in the Twin Cities area, and called for a guilty verdict and threatened violence for the area if that wasn’t the case. The jury wasn’t sequestered and more than likely was made aware of her remarks. This seems like jury intimidation to me, and I’m sure Waters’ comments will be brought up in the appeal.

What saddens me is that Anna Eshoo, our longtime congresswoman, voted not to censure Rep. Waters for her reprehensible rhetoric last weekend. Perhaps, Ms. Eshoo will retire soon.
