A well written article. Pity Stanford chose not to respond.
Weighty discussions on race are long overdue, but bullying Jews to self-identify as privileged whites is a farce. How does the DEI program explain the Holocaust? Or the multitude of antisemitic atrocities dating back to the Ottomans and Romans?
I expect more from Stanford.

Jewish students at Stanford have been increasingly targeted for abuse. This is certainly nothing new but the level of bullying and taunting on campus seems unprecedented.
Traditionally, white people do not view Jews as white, whereas POC see us as among the privileged oppressors. When asked to check a box, many of us select "other."
I understand that university President Tessier Lavigne will be meeting with Jewish leaders to discuss possible approaches, but it would be nice to see the university take a proactive rather than reactive stand.
