After 27 years spent working with the San Mateo Police Department, Dave Norris has stepped up to helm the Menlo Park Police Department as its new chief.

I also welcome our new Chief Norris and appreciate the article introducing him to the community. I see too that the Menlo Park Police Department is encouraging participation in National Night Out on Tuesday, Aug 3. Please see Web Link for details. If you cannot hold a block party that night, another night would also work! National Night Out represents a wonderful way to meet neighbors and/or maintain and extend existing ties with neighbors.
