If Newsom is recalled, how would a Republican governor get anything done?

Original post made on Sep 12, 2021

Some GOP recall candidates say they would use emergency power to pass their agenda, and try to persuade the Democratic Legislature.

Vote no to stop a trump-supporter from taking over.

If larry elder wins (the clear leader if the recall passes,) he would appoint a trumper to take any open senate seat.

Too bad Newsom is such a bad person. The man has no moral compass and is a huge hypocrite. He slept with his advisor (employee) and his best friends wife while Mayor. He said one thing about not gathering in groups and then went to the French Laundry with many other people completely ignoring what he was telling others to do. While telling schools to close he sent his kids to Private school so they could go back to classroom learning. I am a lifelong Democrat but that does not mean I will support bad people just because they call themselves Democrats.

I guess the real message behind this editorial is that California is and should remain a one-party state. I don't think that's ever a good idea.

The lie: "...California is and should remain a one-party state."
It isn't.

The complete political failure of the failed CA GOP doesn't make our system a one-party system.
The CA GOP has lost every statewide race for 15 years because they're out of touch with mainstream Californians:
- failed policies (if you can even detail any of them)
- failed candidates
- have allowed fringe crazies to take over the party

One can't blame the other political party for the failures of the CA GOP.

A 'yes' vote is a vote for the trumper (larry elder.)

Vote No to stop a trump-supporter from taking over.

Willy- looking at the facts Newsom has done nothing to improve the quality of life in California. Aside from giving away money that will have to be paid back by higher taxes what has he accomplished. The border is open, homelessness is at record levels, the pandemic continues on after ruining businesses and jobs. Many students are not in school due to teacher union hysteria and people are leaving the state for better opportunities. Fires are raging because of mismanagement of our forest. We are running out of water. He wants to go all electric and the power companies advertised we need to conserve because the grid is over taxed. What has he done other than say Trump is a bad person? Let’s assume Trump is, what did Newsom due to improve our state with a Democratically controlled senate and house? He can’t blame this on the pandemic, other states have managed much better.

"Let’s assume Trump is (a bad person...)"

Then why would you want to replace our governor with someone who supports trump? ("a bad person")

California can do better than have a trumper in charge. We have a primary election in 8 months - let's find someone better than larry elder.
