Pets in Need board member assumes interim executive director role

Pets in Need, the troubled nonprofit animal shelter weathering upheaval after the deaths of seven puppies in its care, has a new interim executive director in animal welfare expert Valerie McCarthy.

It would be nice that the unnatural deaths and health issues of men, women and children, in the area, due to mismanagement and negligence received as much press and investigation as these puppies and dogs..
