Guest opinion: Woodside Town Council should stick with seven districts

Woodside resident Kevin Greenwood argues the town is misguided in its bid to switch from seven districts to five, and that community sentiment lies in keeping the existing district intact.

Thank you Kevin for writing and expressing your concerns. You raise a number of seems-to-me very valid questions, although unfortunately I wasn’t at the meeting. I’m rather surprised at the lack of comment back from Council members (legal concerns?) or others who were. I respect Council members who give so much of their time and energy to the Town, though if it’s legally possible, I hope the Council will put their recommendation for how to best address this foundational districting issue to the voters.
