Community briefs: Portola Valley Library to open 7 days a week and local students rack up honors

In this week's community briefs, the Portola Valley Library expands its schedule to open daily for the first time and Menlo Park City School District students are tapped for a mural project, SamTrans bus art contest and more.

It is so pleasing that PV Library is expanding its hours. Hope that Menlo Park Main Library will move in that direction. It is so inconvenient to have a library that has no morning opening hours for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. That is when many citizens perform their weekly errands.
