MENLO PARK DISTRICT 4 SEAT ON MP COUNCIL

Never again do I want to decide between two friends competing in one MP district (District 4) / neighborhood for a seat on the council. I’ve taken over a week to reflect on the candidates, the city, the council and how to be even handed.

When Betsy Nash first ran for office I coached her on running for council. She prevailed.

District 4 is fortunate to have two good candidates to represent them. That is for District 4 to sort out, not me. Both are bright, more than competent and unselfish.

I’ve known and worked alongside Peter Ohtaki on Menlo Park Planning and Finance Committees. Applying a different lens - what does 'greater' Menlo Park need? - it’s the financial experience of Peter Ohtaki.

Sorry. I've got to speak my heart and mind. I've divided the child equitable.

I also know both candidates well as was torn between supporting one vs the other.

However, Ohtaki's support of Measure V shows the has does not feel that the very Council that he wishes to join is capable of representing the interest of the citizens.

Therefore, I have chosen to endorse Nash as the best qualified candidate.

Peter,

Are you sure Betsy Nash doesn't support Measure V?

"Peter,

Are you sure Betsy Nash doesn't support Measure V?"

YES

"Hi Peter,

I’m a strong no on V.

Betsy"
