Bracing for new battles

Imagine the Bay Area without the San Francisco Bay. Imagine, too, the Santa Cruz Mountains crisscrossed by freeways bringing hundreds of thousands of commuters who are living cheek by jowl along the coasts of San Mateo and Santa Cruz counties to the flatlands to work each day.

Wonderful article highlighting the successes of four great organizations. I especially appreciate the history and how each group is adapting their work to help address the climate crisis.

Perhaps a companion article highlighting Acterra and Grassroots Ecology would expand upon this important perspective of local organizations with long histories and active work in the climate change arena.
