A Menlo Park employee has been arrested on felony theft and embezzlement charges after he was allegedly caught stealing city-owned laptop computers and selling them online.

What awful and incomplete reporting. Who was arrested? What did he steal? The details are in other new outlets and publications, and can be found in public records. This article is a bunch of nothing.

The Almanac has a policy of not naming arrested individuals. What did he steal? Did you bother to read the article? It's right there in the first paragraph, "...he was allegedly found stealing city-owned laptop computers and selling them on the internet..." What's the matter, you couldn't get any further than the headline?
