Menlo Park should rethink nixing parking on Middle Avenue

Original post made by dana hendrickson, Menlo Park: Central Menlo Park, on Mar 17, 2023

The primary objective of Menlo Park's Middle Avenue Project is to improve the safety of bicyclists and pedestrians, and last month the City Council approved a field trial of new bikes lanes. Unfortunately, the selected design removes all street parking and eliminates two-thirds of the parking spaces at the front of Nealon Park.

Removal of parking on Middle is a big mistake driven by people with a "save the world" agenda that want to force as many people out of cars as possible. It's time to replace these agenda driven individuals at the next election cycle. They're NOT saving the world and they're NOT representing the people that elected them.
