There is a reason that the public transit in the Bay Area is in fiscal trouble:
- It is run by zealots that do not care what the public wants & will force them into their "Utopia"
- Meanwhile - look at the # of riders on public transit!. the buses that i see have (at most) only a very few passengers on a long, two section articulated bus!
- It would be cheaper (& better in all ways) to sell the buses & replace them with much smaller coaches and even subsidized "Uber" cars.
- The MTC is NOT providing transit anyone wants! (Do the politicians ride the bus????)
- I will never ride BART again & am very concerned for my health & safety when I ride Caltrain
Please stop throwing my tax dollars away on a broken system. Start with a "clean sheet" and provide what the residents want & NOT what the politicians & "City Planners" want them to use!
It is time for a wholesale change - including new leadership!

BART is such a horror show that its Newsom appointed auditor resigned in disgust a couple months ago due to the stonewalling of its board, management, and unions.
Why should they get a single extra dollar to burn on their bonfire of self-dealing and incompetence?

My wife and I have a little game of checking out the number of riders inside those huge, sleek, expensive buses as we drive along El Camino Real. The game is whether the number of passengers on a bus will be zero or one passenger.
Try it yourself.
Spoiler alert: it’s almost always zero.
