Lee is a fine public servant. An elected official who brought integrity and ability to his office.

It is folks like Lee that give elected officials a good name.

San Mateo County will be fortunate if someone just as capable succeeds him.

"Buffington Won't Seek Re-Election" ...the obvious understatement of the year. I wouldn't think/wish with his investment track record that he would subject the citizens of San Mateo County to his abysmal "expertise" when times remain tough and real professional investment decisions have to be made.

Kleegeen--I'm not sure what planet you are writting from--but for my money we are about to loose one of our last truely honest, fair minded, and always incredibly brave public servants. I believe his departure will leave SMC greatly deminished and with less than a handfull of people of real quality in leadership that are left down there to run the county--now I'm more worried about us than I already was.

Anna -
To quote your comment "...writting from--but for my money we are about to loose..."
The words are spelled "WRITING" not "writting" and "LOSE" not "loose". [portion removed; see terms of use] (R)elatives should not be commenting on the professional capabilities of "their own"!
