Menlo Park community services director expects cost-of-living increases for employees

A 2 percent cost of living increase and travel expenses for professional development figure into Menlo Park's community services budget for fiscal year 2013-2014, according to a memo from Director Cherise Brandell.

the bay area is not what it once was. increase the community services budget to how high? how do you afford the cost of living? there once was a middle-class on the peninsula. what a travesty that the well-to-do have it made while it remains an impossible dream for so many people. go to work and try to make ends meet
