County transportation officials are seeking San Mateo County residents to volunteer for a citizens advisory committee that is a liaison between the public and directors of the San Mateo County Transportation Authority.

The transportation authority is an independent agency that administers revenues from a countywide half-cent sales tax to fund local transportation projects and programs.

The 15-member advisory committee meets in San Carlos at 4:30 p.m. on the Tuesday before the last Thursday of the month. Applicants have until Monday, April 11, to submit an application.
